Early Obamacare Tax Credit Filers Get a Break

The CMS urged people to hold off on filing their taxes until they get new corrected forms. The IRS estimated that 50,000 people had already filed.

The government is giving those early filers a break if they got more premium tax credits than they should have. If they didn’t get enough, the Treasury Department said they can refile to get the additional money they were owed.

Last week, the CMS urged those who hadn’t filed to wait until they got the new form, expected in early March.
